Random Group Maker
Split a list of names into randomized groups. Choose a target number of groups or a group size, and get a print-friendly grid of balanced teams. Runs on your device — nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored.
Group Maker splits a pasted list of names into randomized groups — for classroom breakout sessions, assigning lab or project partners, dividing a team into smaller working groups, or setting up teams for a game night. Paste one name per line and choose how you want the split to work.
You can either set the number of groups you want (say, 4 groups from a class of 28) or set how many people should be in each group (say, teams of 3), and the tool works out the rest. Names are shuffled first, and the remainder is spread round-robin across the groups so no group ends up more than one person larger or smaller than the others.
The result is a clean, print-friendly grid you can hand out or project on a screen. Everything runs locally in your browser — the list of names you paste in is never uploaded — and a Print button formats the groups for a paper handout.
