Mic Test
Check your microphone in seconds with a live level meter — before the call, not during it. Runs on your device — nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored.
A quick microphone check before a Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams call saves the awkward "can you hear me?" opening. This tool asks your browser for microphone permission, then shows a live input meter that moves as you speak — instant confirmation that the right mic is picked up and actually sending audio.
If the meter stays flat, it's usually a permission or device issue. When the browser prompts, choose Allow; if you dismissed it, click the padlock or camera/mic icon in the address bar to re-enable access, and pick the correct input in your system sound settings if you have several microphones.
Crucially, this is only a test: the tool never records, saves, or uploads anything. Your voice is used purely to animate the meter in real time and is then discarded — nothing leaves your device.
- Click to start the microphone test.
- Choose Allow when the browser asks for permission.
- Speak and watch the live input meter respond.
- If it stays flat, fix the permission or select the right input device.
